आज के इस ब्लाग में हम जानेगें कि Routing क्या हैं और Routing का use हम क्यू करते हैं और यह कितने प्रकार की होती है।

Routing - Routing एक ऐसी method होती है जिसकी मदद से data packet Source से Destination तक travel करते हैं। 

Routing शब्द Route से आया है जिसका मतलब होता हैं रास्ता, Routing में Source से लेकर Destination तक का बेहतर रास्ता ढूंढा जाता है और इस काम को करने के लिये एक device का use किया जाता है जिसे Router कहते हैं। इसी Router की मदद से Network में Source से Destination तक का Path ढूंढा जाता है जिसे Routing कहते हैं।

 Router Network Layer पर work करता हैं और Network Layer के Routing & Internetworking दो feature हैं जहाँ Routing का मतलब Network में best path ढूंढना होता हैं वही Internetworking का काम Networks को आपस में connect करना होता हैं। ये दोनों task Router की मदद से ही perform किये जाते हैं।

Routing Example - जैसा कि आप diagram में देख पा रहे हैं मेरे पास 3 Router हैं Router A, Router B & Router C, अब मान लो Router A Source हैं और Router C Destination और जब Router A source से destination (Router C) तक का रास्ता ढूंढे़गा तो इसी process को हम Routing कहते हैं।

Routing में एक जगह से दूसरी जगह जाने का रास्ता ढूंढा़ जाता है और इसी रास्ते की मदद से data  packet एक जगह से दूसरी जगह भेजे जाते हैं। 

Routing Basic Components -

* Routable Protocol (IP-4, IPv6)

* Network Address with subnet Mask

* Next Hop

* Metric

* Layer 3 Device

Types Of Routing -

* Static Routing

* Default Routing

* Dynamic Routing
