आज के इस ब्लाग में हम जानेगें कि Dynamic Routing क्या हैं और यह कैसे काम करती हैं।
Router पर हम Route की information को दो तरीके से configure कर सकते हैं पहला तरीका (Static Routing) यह है कि मैं खुद Router की Routing Table में manually हर routes की information add करूँ या दूसरा तरीका (Dynamic Routing) यह है कि हम किसी protocol की मदद से Router की Routing Table में routes की information को add करवा ले।
* Dynamic Routing -
Dynamic Routing वो Routing होती हैं जो automatic network में Path ढूढ़ने का काम करती हैं और हमे manually हर Router पर जाकर source से destination तक की Route entry नही करनी पड़ती हैं। Dynamic Routing में Routing protocol जैसे RIP, OSPF, EIGRP की मदद से Network में Best Path ढूंढा जाता हैं।
Dynamic Routing automatic network में best path ढूंढ़ती हैं परन्तु हमे इसमे भी Network Administrator की जरूरत पड़ेगी क्योकि Dynamic Routing, Routing Protocol पर काम करती हैं और उन Routing Protocol को configuration के लिये हमे Network Administrator की जरूरत पड़ती हैं।
Dynamic Routing automatic route's को discover भी करती है और उनको maintain भी करती हैं।
Dynamic Routing configuration के लिये Network Admin को routing protocols का अच्छा knowledge होना चाहिये।
Dynamic Routing में Router's आपस में Routing Table share करते हैं जिससे वो अपनी Routing Table को update करते हैं। इन्ही update की मदद से Router नेटवर्क में Best Route ढूंढ़ते हैं।
Dynamic Routing में Router's एक दूसरे को एक time interval के बाद updates भेजते रहते हैं जिससे नेटवर्क की Bandwidth बहुत ज्यादा खर्च होती हैं और साथ में Router के Resources का भी ज्यादा use होता है।
Dynamic Routing Scalability provide करती है और साथ ही साथ Admin के work load को भी कम करती हैं।
Dynamic Routing में अगर source से destination तक जाने के दो या दो से ज्यादा route हैं और ऐसे में अगर कोई route fail हो जाये, तो वह दूसरे route से data packet को destination तक पहुचा देती हैं।
Dynamic Routing Big organization के लिये Best होती हैं क्योंकि एक बड़े organization मे Routers पर manual configuration करना और उन configuration को manage करना मुश्किल होता है।
Example - जैसा कि आप diagram में देख पा रहे हैं कि मेरे पास 3 Router हैं। अगर मुझे Router A से लेकर Router C तक का best path ढूंढ़ना है तो मुझे Router A को ये नही बताना हैं कि Router C तक का Best Route कौन सा है। ये काम Dynamic Routing में Routing Protocols automatic कर लेगी।
Types of Dynamic Routing Protocols -
Interior Gateway Routing Protocols
* Distance Vector Routing - RIPv1, RIPv2, IGRP
* Link State Routing - IS-IS, OSPF
* Hybrid Routing - EIGRP
Exterior Gateway Routing Protocols -
* Path Vector Routing - EGP, BGP
