How to Monitor the Network Using Microsoft Network Monitor || Network Troubleshooting ||

#Objective - To monitor the Network using Microsoft Network Monitor

#Requirements -

• PC in LAN
• Microsoft Network Monitor

#Hands on Exercise -

1. Double click on the setup file. Microsoft Network Monitor dialog box appears as show in the figure -

 
2. click on Yes. The welcome to the Microsoft Network Monitor setup wizard screen appears as shown in the figure -

3. Click on Next. The end-user license agreement screen appear as shown in the figure -

4. Click on I accept the terms in the license agreement and click next. The Microsoft update screen appears as shown in the figure -

5. Select Use Microsoft Update when i check for updates and click Next. The Choose Setup type Screen appears as shown in the figure -

6. Click on typical. The Ready to Install Screen appears as shown in the figure -

 7. Click on Install. The completing the Setup wizard Screen appears as shown in the figure -

8. Click on Finish.

9. Open the Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4 using administrator account. The welcome to Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4 screen appears as shown in the figure -

10. Select Local Area Network from Select Networks and click on New Capture. The new capture screen appears as shown in the figure -

11. Click on Start and after certain interval click on Stop. The captured data by windows Network Monitor will appears as shown in the figure -
