Basic Concept and Configuration of RIPv2 Protocol
RIPv2 Protocol : दोस्तो RIPv1 में बहुत सारी कमियां थी जिनको दूर करने के लिये RIPv2 को Networking Expert द्वारा बनाया गया, तो हम नीचे इसे समझते हैं RIPv2 में क्या क्या update होके आई।
1. RIPv2 एक Classless protocol हैं मतलब इसमे कुछ भी Host Id & Network Id कुछ भी हो सकती हैं जबकि RIPv1 एक Classfull Routing Protocol हैं।
2. RIPv2 अपनी routing update में subnet mask को भी send करती हैं क्योकि classless होने के कारण बिना subnet mask के इसकी class का पता नही लगाया जा सकता है जबकि RIPv1 अपनी routing update में सिर्फ नेटवर्क को send करती हैं।
3. RIPv2 अपनी routing update को 224.0.0.9 पर multicast करती हैं जबकि RIPv1 अपनी हर update को 255.255.255.255 पर broadcast करती हैं।
4. RIPv2 protocol VLSM को भी Support करती हैं जबकि RIPv1 class full होने के कारण VLSM को Support नही करती हैं।
5. RIPv2 protocol authentication plain text and mds को भी Support करती हैं।
दोस्तो RIPv2 protocol की configuration का process same ही हैं बस एक command extra देनी पड़ेगी, हम RIPv1 configuration करना पहले ही सीख चुके हैं आपको बस RIPv1 configuration होने के बाद जो command देना हैं वो आपको नीचे बता रहा हू -
router> ena
router# configure terminal
router(config)# router rip
router(config-router)# version 2
इतना करने के साथ ही RIPv2 activate हो जायेगी।
