#Summary - In today's blog we will discuss about what is modem & uses of modem in networking.

#Modem - Modem made from two words MO+DEM there

* MO means Modulation
* DEM means Demodulation

* Modulation means converting digital signal into analog signal
* Demodulation means converting analog signal to digital signal

* So in the networking we need to a device which performs modulation and demodulation task because our  mobile and computer form is digital and transmission media only support analog signal and this situation if you want to access the internet so you need a modem that converting your digital signal into analog signal and analog signal into digital signal.

 














*In today's modern router has modem facility

*Types of Modem -

*Internal Modem - already inbuilt in device

*External Modem - Need to install separately and then connect to computer through the cable.
