#Summary - In today's blog we will learn about What is HUB in Networking.

#Networking HUB - 

* HUB is a networking device used to connect devices in LAN like Computer, Server etc

*A HUB is a simply Repeater receive data from one port and sends data to all the ports.

*HUB works at Physical layer of OSI Model



















*HUB use broadcast for working that region large traffic generated in a network

*Now days we are using switch in place of HUB

*HUB doesn't have any memory or buffer for storing addresses of devices that region when hub receive the data from any port so simply broadcast them to all the connecting ports.

*HUB is a Half Duplex Device that means at a time only one computer can send data and other computer only receive.

*HUB available at 8, 16 & 24 Ports.




#Types of HUB -

a) Passive HUB - Passive Hub doesn't required to external power and its doesn't regenerate the signals.

b) Active HUB - Active Hub required external power connection and its regenerate the signals.
