What is Mesh topology in Networking || Networking Chapter II Part 5 ||

                                Networking Topology - Mesh Topology

#Summary - In today's blog we will discuss about what is Mesh topology, Advantages and disadvantages of Mesh topology.

#Mesh Topology -

* In mesh topology, each device is connected to every other device.

*A device can send data to all the devices in the network.
* Data sent by the device can take any possible paths to reach the destination.

*There are two types of mesh topology-

a) Full Mesh
b) Partial Mesh

* In the Full mesh all devices is connected with each other but partial mesh connect some device with each other but some devices is not connected with each other.. this is very popular WAN technology there Router is connected with each other.

#Advantages of Mesh Topology -

a. Easy to detect the faulty device
b. Centralized management is not required
c. Entire Network does not get affected by one faulty device
d. Provides redundant paths which help in sending data using an alternate path if a specific path fails to send the data.

#Disadvantages of Mesh Topology -

a. More Cable Required
b. Very Expensive
c. Difficult to Reconfigure
