ARP vs RARP Protocol
Summary - In today's video we will learn about difference between ARP vs RARP Protocol.
#ARP Protocol -
*ARP Stands for Address Resolution Protocol
*ARP Protocol is used to determine the Physical Address (MAC Address) of the device only when IP Address is known
*ARP Packets size is 32 bits in which 16 bit hardware and 16 bits protocl type
# ARP packet contain sender's MAC Address, Sender's IP Adrress and Target IP & MAC Address ( 00:00:00:00:00:00)
*ARP Packet at sending end do broadcast and recieving end unicast
*ARP Proxy hide MAC Address
*ARP packet do braodcast at sender side and receiver side unicast
#RARP Protocol ( Reverse Address Resolution protocol ) -
*RARP is used to determine the IP Address of the host only when the physical address is known
*It is the useful when computer is connected to the network for the first time.
*RARP packet contain's Sender's MAC Address,Sender's IP Address,Target IP Address(0.0.0.0) & Target MAC Address.
